The types
Full dentures when all teeth are missing, partial ones when some remain. One goal: restoring chewing, speech and a confident smile.
The adjustment period
Days or weeks of unfamiliar sensation are normal: extra saliva, difficulty pronouncing some letters. Follow-up visits adjust the denture until it settles.
Daily care
- Remove and clean the denture daily with a dedicated brush.
- Soak it overnight in a proper solution, never in hot water.
- Clean gums and tongue before putting it back.
